Journal Rankings and Impact: Sources for Data

     The Wikipedia article on Journal Ranking provides a succinct description of the phenomenon, the main organizations engaged in ranking, and definitions of the various indicators used in ranking and determining rankings. The Ranking of scholarly and research journals to determine their impact and value within a discipline is accomplished primarily with the use mathematical and algorithmic measurements.    The two best known measures are the Eigenfactor and the SCImago Journal Rank.
