Student Services

The Adams Library offers many services for RIC students, including borrowing, access to databases, guides for technology, and more. Your RIC ID card functions as a library card which is used for borrowing materials at RIC and HELIN libraries.

Lending
Books are lent for 28 days, with an overdue grace period of 7 days. DVDs and CDs use the same lending periods as Browsing books. For questions about your library account, contact the Borrowing Services Desk at 401-456-8126.

Technology Lending
Information about the Adams Library’s technological services can be found here. For additional questions, contact the Reserve Desk at 401-456-8126.

Research and Accessing Databases Off Campus

In order to use RIC’s many offered databases while not on campus, you will be prompted to log in with your RIC User ID (e.g. jsmith or jsmith_1234) and password. For questions about performing research and finding articles in databases, contact the Reference Desk at 401-456-8125.
