Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loans are requests for books, articles, book chapters, CDs and DVDs that are not available through the James P. Adams Library or James P. Adams Library journal list  or available from a HELIN consortium library.

Interlibrary loan is available to current students, faculty and staff. Alumni and community members should visit their local public library for service.

It generally takes 1 to 2 weeks for the requested material to arrive. Please note when charges apply they will be passed along to the requester. See Interlibrary Loan Policies.

Books or other physical materials will be available for pick up at the Adams Library Borrowing Services desk. You will get an email or text message notifying you that the ILL material is ready to be picked up.

Articles and book chapters will be delivered as PDF files to your Interlibrary Loan (ILL) account. You will receive an email or text message notifying you when article/book chapter is ready to view. To access the article/book chapter, login to your ILL account. Please note that the PDF file is only accessible for 30 days or 5 views. If you want to keep it, you must save it to your personal device.
