Instagram is followed by students mostly, but also alumni (especially recent), some faculty, and other library/org Instagram accounts.

Send to Amy:

  • Image or Images
  • Text (generally keep it short) and emojis
  • Hashtags
  • Any accounts you'd like to tag, like other campus offices or organizations - this helps with cross-promotion
  • If you want it to post to Facebook too

Linktree account information:

  • Username: @ricadamslibrary
  • Password: AdamsLibrary1
  • Account email address: jamespadamslibrary@gmail.com

Posters, Flyers, etc.

To post on the bulletin boards give one copy to circ and one copy to reference.

Postcards, brochures and smaller flyers can go on the circ and ref desk, and on the short reference shelves with student papers.

To post on tables:

  • Use acrylic stands to keep copies around for a while
    • There are portrait and landscape options.
    • There is a stand with three-legs for 1/4 sheet sized flyers announcements - it needs 6 flyers to be full (you could repeat)
    • We have some that have room for a 8 1/2 x 11" sheet and a pocket for bookmarks, brochures or little flyers.

LibGuides for Exhibits/Events

LibGuides for current events and exhibits should be added to the Library Exhibits and Events subject, in addition to whichever additional subjects it belongs to (check with the subject liaison!).

Once the exhibit/event time has passed, remove this subject and add it to the "Past Events & Exhibits" group.

Sandwich Board

The sandwich board is in Dave's office. The letters are in Access Services.
