Law & Governmental Regulations

For each law or governmental regulation reviewed, include information as to dates of enactment and clarify if the law(s) or regulation(s) are Federal of State in nature.

If a law or regulation applies only to specific types of organizations or professions (e.g. HIPAA covered entities, 45 C.F.R. Part 164), or seeks to protect particular populations (e.g., individuals seeking substance abuse treatment, 42 C.F.R. Part 2), detail the criteria for determining when the law or regulation does or does not apply. (If more than one law or governmental regulation applies to your area of focus, explain how these laws and/ or regulations are similar or different. If differences do exist, provide an example of how those differences may manifest in an applied clinical setting)
