The James P. Adams Library has iPad Airs to lend to current Rhode Island College Students, Faculty, and Staff. To check out an iPad, go to the Borrowing Services Desk on the Main Level (3rd floor) of the library. You must present a valid RIC ID card and your library account must be in good standing to borrow an iPad.
One iPad per library patron.
Special Borrowers are not eligible to borrow iPads from the Borrowing Services Desk.
iPads may be checked out for 2 weeks.
While COVID-19 restrictions are in place at Rhode Island College, the following will apply to renewals of Adams Library technology loans:
Up to 2 renewals will be allowed before technology items will be required to be returned. After the 1st renewal is granted, the technology item may be subject to recall. The patron's library account must remain current and in good standing in order to have renewals granted for technology items. If overdue fines have accrued on the library patron's account, the overdue fines must be paid before anymore technology loan checkouts.
iPads may leave the building, however, you are responsible for the device, and its USB cable and wall charger while it is in your possession.
The iPad must be returned to the Borrowing Services Desk by the patron who checked it out.
If the iPad is returned late, there is a $10 per day late fee.
If the iPad is not returned or is returned in damaged condition, you will be billed $300 as a replacement fee.
All personal info will be wiped from the iPad when you return it.
If you already have an Apple ID or an iTunes account, you can log in with your username and password in the App Store and download any apps you want!
