Conduct Research on a Leader who has a Major Scholarly Biography

You need: a “thick book” biography written by a scholar that has an index in the back and footnotes / references.

You'll also need: at least 9-10 other references. These could be a TED Talk or another scholarly video, a reputable website reference (not Wikipedia), a scholarly blog or an interview of a scholarly expert (can be done in person or through e-mail).

Think about:

  • What is the conversation other people are having on your topic? Especially scholars?
  • How do you define what a leader is?
  • What is the author’s point of view? What does the author think of the person he or she is writing about? How is the person’s life presented? What conclusions does the author come to about the person?
