Student Employment: General Information

Thank you for your interest! The Library is not currently hiring student workers - please check back in April for summer opportunities.

All students may apply; those with a Federal Work Study award will get first consideration.

Thank you for your interest in Adams Library!

We hire students to work in a few areas of library service. Here's a brief rundown. If you are interested, please continue on and fill out an application!

WHAT?

  • The Library employs Student Assistants for a variety of part-time positions during the academic year and summer.
  • Hours are flexible.
  • More information about the different library departments is in the application.

WHY?

All positions will help you with your academic coursework and build your resume by exposing you to new information and teaching you transferrable skills.

WHEN?

  • While most hiring is done at the start of the semester, we accept applications on an ongoing basis, and they are kept for one year.
  • You will be contacted for an interview if positions are available and you meet our needs.
  • If you are not contacted this year, please feel free to reapply next semester.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Preference is given to students with Federal Work Study, but feel free to apply even without it.
  • Prepare - you will need a copy of the following to upload when filling out this application:
    • class schedule in "week view" (required)
    • class schedule in "list view" (required)
    • accepted Work Study award (if applicable)
