Each of the tabs to the left represents a page of information about a type of resource students often need to use. For general information gathering, start with Reference Sources to learn the basics on your topic.
To find professional journal articles, click on the Find Articles tab. Note the "Sub tabs" Search Strategies and Professional Journals. Click on one of those for tips on searching or on distinguishing between professional journals and other kinds of periodicals.
The Statistics/Datasets and the Social Policy Resources pages are all about online resources, primarily links to library databases and authoritative websites that have been selected for their reliability and academic value.
NOTE: Some links in this guide will only work correctly if you are on campus, For the majority of electronic resources you will need to sign in with your RIC Username and Password if your are off-campus or in the dorms
This guide won't provide all the answers to your questions. Ask for assistance when you need it. Reference & Research Support librarians can be reached by phone, email, chat or by visiting us on the main level (Level 3) of the library.
