Most public libraries in Rhode Island are now offering limited services inside their buildings in accordance with public health regulations such as mask-wearing, physical distancing, cleaning, and screening. Services may include in-library pickup of pre-ordered materials, browsing for materials, and access to public computers, copiers and printers. The ability of libraries to provide services is limited by staffing, available books, and building layout, and some require appointments to access some or all of these services. The chart below provides an overview of services available at public libraries in the state and will be updated weekly during the month of July. You can also search for a specific library or by your city or town to learn more about the services provided by your local public library.
