New York Times Digital Edition - Academic Site License

OFF CAMPUS REGISTRATION:

  1. Visit http://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/
  2. Use the search box to find "Rhode Island College".
  3. Click "Go".
  4. Log in with your RIC ID and Password.
  5. Click "Create Account".
  6. Enter your RIC email address, password of your choice, and user type. Click "Sign In". 
  7. After registration you can login at NYTimes.com on any device, anywhere in the world. 
  8. You can also download NYT Mobile Apps. For mobile apps, you should login with the New York Times account you just created.

New York Times in Education

The New York Times in Education is a collection of instructional materials created by the NYT for faculty. These materials include NYT articles, commentary, and guiding questions, all categorized into defined areas of study. 

Areas of study: American Government, Arts & Visual Culture, Biology, Business. Campaigns & Elections, Criminal Justice, Environmental Sciences, International Relations, Leadership, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Population Health and Nursing, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology,  and Writing & English Composition.

HOW TO ACCESS:

  1. Go to http://nytimesineducation.com/
  2. Find the link to Log In 
  3. Log in using the same email address and password that you use to access the NYTimes.com Digital Edition through RIC.
  4. If you don't have a NYTimes.com account through RIC, you can establish one while you're on campus. Follow the instructions listed below.
