Information resources and electronic databases funded by the state and available through Rhode Island's public libraries. Residents of other states who are employed full-time in Rhode Island can get a Providence Public Library card which will grant access to these e-resources. (Acceptable proof includes recent pay stub, tax receipt.)
The John Hay Library houses the Brown University Library's collections of rare books and manuscripts, the University Archives, and many special collections on a wide variety of topics. Notable areas of strength include American literature and popular culture, political and diplomatic history, the history of science, book arts and graphics.
