The nearly 50 Rhode Island College Faculty authors who have submitted their works to faculty publications on DigitalCommons@RIC, our institutional repository, have had nearly a million downloads since launching DigitalCommons@RIC since its launch in 2010.
Contributing to DigitalCommons@RIC increses your readership by making your works freely available (copyright permitting) to the world. DigitalCommons@RIC is harvested by Google and Google Scholar. Contributors receive a monthly readership report detailing usage statistics.
To submit your scholarship and for other inquiries, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 401-456-9604.
As part of the archives, the library collects publications authored by RIC faculty and staff. These are available in the Faculty Publications Case located in the main lobby of the library. Specific publications can be searched through the library catalog.
To request a copy of your publication in the library archives, submit a purchase request and specify that this is a faculty publication in the Additional Notes field. Your book will be added to the case on the third floor with a faculty publication bookplate.
A second copy may be purchased for our main collection if it meets the needs of the library, as outlined in the collection development policy.
