Partricia (Tish) B.M. Brennan has served as Associate Professor and Head of Reference and Research Support at James P. Adams Library for over 30 years (so far). She also serves as library liaison to the Departments of Biology, Environmental Studies, History, Music/Theatre/Dance, and Physical Sciences. Her idea of a good day at the reference desk includes challenging questions from students and faculty and access to good, strong coffee. Her research interests span a number of areas from information literacy and its interface with reading and writing, open access publishing, book as engine of intellectual history, and copyright – particularly for music and media. Though the cliché “so many books, so little time” remains true, she does find time for public performances with the Rhode Island Civic Chorale.
