20 books are nominated annually for the Rhode Island Children's Book Award. The reading levels of the books range from grade 3 - 5. Students in grades 3-5 who read 3 or more of the nominated titles will vote for the winner. Voting will take place in the HBS library during late February. Ms. Nagib will forward our results to the state for inclusion in the statewide voting. Additionally, the goal for 4th graders is to read 8 books before the 4th Grade Rooster Games in late February. The goal for 5th graders is to read 10 books before the 5th Grade Rooster Games in early February.
