Use the bibliography find books and articles on languages, literature, folklore, and linguistics. It is compiled by the staff of the MLA office in NYC with the cooperation of more than 120 contributing bibliographers in the US and abroad.

  • Working papers, conference papers, and proceedings.

Sample Search Strategy 1 - Keywords

One strategy for discovering literary criticism using MLA International Bibliography is to use the title of a primary text and the name of a theory or school of criticism in your search.

Another strategy involves exploring critical articles by Subject. You will probably notice that there are lots of ways to refine your search results. Be sure to look under Refine Results for the Subject menu.
