Wiki Sourced to Wicked Good: Open Internet & Library-Supported Information

Background on evaluating open internet resources for academic work and suggestions of library-supported sources for general information-gathering

Article Databases

Using an article database directly gives you more direct control over your search.

Also, most database publishers include features beyond searching - such as help capturing and saving articles or help creating references for the articles found for a Works Cited page.

Our broadest and most diverse article database is Academic Search Complete: a good choice when you are not limited to journals within one academic field (like History, or Music, or Psychology).  But we have almost 100 different database listed on our Articles and Databases list on the Adams Library homepage.
