Spring 2020 semester: January 10, 2020
Course reserve processing requests received by the deadline date are guaranteed to be ready for the first week of classes. Requests received after the deadline date may take up to 7 business days for processing.
Faculty are strongly encouraged to submit course reserve requests several weeks prior to each semester in order to allow time for ordering materials for reserve and for processing. The Reserves staff posts the Reserves deadline date on the Course Reserves page for faculty reference. All reserve requests received by the deadline are ready for the first week of classes. Reserves requests submitted after the deadline are processed in order of receipt and may take up to 7 business days for processing.
Faculty can submit electronic reserve requests by sending requests via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Electronic reserves processing is available for book chapters, articles from bound periodicals, e-books, e-journals, streaming video, streaming music and photocopied material. Faculty can submit items already in electronic format via email@example.com. Electronic format now available for electronic reserves include: pdf, jpg, gif, tiff, doc, ppt, html files and urls.
Reserves lists will be removed at the end of the semester, unless Reserves staff are notified to do otherwise.
Faculty should use the Course Reserve Request form to submit reserve processing requests.
Repeated use of reproductions from sources not owned by the Adams Library by the same professor for the same course in subsequent semesters requires that Adams Library either purchase the item or purchase permission from the copyright owner to use the item again. In those instances the Reserve staff will attempt to purchase permission via Copyright Clearance Center.
